Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept.
The Board meeting at the Hydetown Vol. Fire Department takes place every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
The Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department serves Oil Creek Township, Troy Township, and the Borough of Hydetown. We provide mutual aid and backup to Titusville, Pleasantville, Centerville, Cherrytree, Townville, Bloomfield, Spartansburg, and Chapmanville. Thanks for your support.
We are asking that all of the Hydetown Coverage Area have there 911 address numbers on there houses or mail boxes. They must be 6" high. It makes it easier for us to find you when there is an emergency. Thank-You
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) Are Needed
EMT’s are needed in all area fire dept.’s. The Volunteer Fire Dept. And EMS Services in Crawford County are in shortage at this time. They are asking for anyone who would like to be come an EMT to call Sue Brown at 814-645-0215. The EMS system has 6 minutes to respond from time of dispatch to be enroute to the call. Some Ambulance services can not make it due to the shortage of manpower. The shortage occurs during the time of 6:00 a.m. til 5:00 p.m. during the week. And sometimes during the evening hours. Some of the EMT’s that are working can not leave work to goto a call. If you are at the age of 14 years or older can be come an EMT. Please we ask for your support. Some of the Departments that need your help are Hydetown (QRS), Townville (BLS), Centerville (BLS), Cherrytree(QRS). Thank-you. We are also in need of Firefighters during the daytime hours. There is a shortage during the daytime for all area fire dept.’s
Chapmanville Vol. Fire Dept. Events
Annual Daytona 500 Cash Giveaway Raffle will be held Sunday February 26th. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. Kitchen opens at 11:00 a.m. Raffle to start around noon. Raffle will go despite there be a rain out or delay.

Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary
The Auxiliary is always looking for new members. Our meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the social hall. So if you're interested in having fun while raising money, our group is the one for you

Hydetown Soup and Dessert Supper
Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. Is having a Soup and Dessert Supper on Saturdays January 28th, Feb. 25th, and March 24th, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. Come early for best selection. Cost is $ 6.00 for adults and $ 3.00 for children under 10. Qts. Of soup to go is $ 8.00. There will be 12 different kinds of soup, Homemade desserts. Beverages and dinner rolls included. All you can eat! Come out and help support the Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. And have a great time.
Spring Craft and Vendor Fair
The Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. Are having a Spring Craft and Vendor Fair on Saturday March 31, 2012. From 9:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. This benefits the Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary. Local Vendors and Crafters and Chinese Auction. Kitchen will be open. Non-Smoking.
Hydetown Spring Gun Raffle
The Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept. Are having a Spring Gun Raffle on April 7, 2012.Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $ 10.00 Each. Food and Beverage included. Instant tickets, chinese auction, side raffles, 50/50. Tickets are available at these area businesses’ Rustic Inn, The Oaks, Hawks Grocery, Hydetown Beverage, 408 Trans Auto, Betts Bros., Merse Process, Big Tree Guns, or at the fire dept any Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There will be 4 $ 100.00 doors prize drawings. You must be present to win the doors prizes.
Hydetown Post Office Mailbox
Since the Hydetown Post office closed they have put a mailbox over by the fire dept.’s Flagpole for anyone to use. They pick up the mail around 11:30 a.m. every day. So if you have mail bring it down and drop it off.

Hydetown Baptist ChurchPastor Sam Villers. Services start at 9:45 a.m., Sunday School 10:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Sunday Worship 7:00 p.m., Wednesday Prayer/Bible Study, Nursery available during Worship Services for infants thru five yrs. Of age. Junior church during worship service for children ages 6 thru 12 yrs every Sunday.
Rentals are still available at the former Boro Hall now the Hydetown Baptist Church Social Hall. New lower rental fees. No special requirements to rent, just call 827-1335 and talk to Brenda for available dates.
